LIVERPOOL ACCELERATING MOVEPURSUIT OF GABRI VEIGA AS FABIO CARVALHO AGREES LOAN

Liverpool are intensifying their pursuit of Gabri Veiga as they finalize a loan move for Fabio Carvalho, according to reports from Fabrizio Romano. Carvalho, the 20-year-old midfielder who joined Liverpool from Fulham last year, is set to join RB Leipzig on a season-long loan to seek more playing time. Liverpool opted for a dry loan deal, without a buy-out clause or a permanent transfer option.

The departure of Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and James Milner as free agents this summer has left Liverpool in need of reinforcements in midfield. With Carvalho heading to Leipzig temporarily, the Reds are keen to secure the services of Gabri Veiga from Celta Vigo.

However, Liverpool’s initial bid for the 21-year-old Spaniard was rejected by Celta, who are demanding his €40 million release clause be met. Despite interest from Chelsea and Napoli, Liverpool is determined to acquire Veiga and bolster their midfield options.

Liverpool will likely explore alternative negotiation strategies, hoping to lower the price and potentially rely on the player’s desire to facilitate a transfer. The club is eager to address their shortcomings following a failed attempt to qualify for the Champions League after an eight-year streak of participation.
